Design for Shiken

Shiken is a revision platform designed to make preparing for exams and tests fun and easy for students, with minimal stress thanks to the mindfulness techniques integrated throughout.

My role included designing Study Buddies and their Biome environments – these are characters students unlock as they use the platform, who serve as user avatars, app hosts, and mindfulness guides.

UI design:

  • Gamifying the mobile UI for Shiken with answer streaks and daily challenges
  • Flow for users creating and using their own journey maps
  • Iconography
